    Free boat rides to temples

    » Every weekend and on public holidays, two free five-hour boat trips to nine temples on and around Koh Kret in Nonthaburi province will be held per day for those wanting to know more about the way of life, art and culture of this province. The nine temples on the list are Wat Yai Sawang Arom, Wat Bang Chak, Wat Saothong Thong, Wat Phai Lom, Wat Poramaiyikawart, Wat Chimphlee, Wat Klang Kret, Wat Choeng Len and Wat Saeng Siritham. Those wishing to join the trip can take free tickets in front of the ordination hall of Wat Yai Sawang Arom before the morning trip which begins at 10.30am and the afternoon trip which starts at noon. To get to Wat Yai Sawang Arom, you can either take buses No.18, 203 or 69 to Soi Tha It and take a taxi or a motorcycle taxi to the temple or drive to the temple inside Soi McDonald on Ratchaphruek Road in Pak Kret district.
