ยป Tourism is a key pillar of Thailand's economy. Tourism receipts have been growing robustly over the past five years at 13% the compound annual growth rate (CAGR), with majority of the receipts from international tourists. In total, tourism receipts reached 2.5 trillion baht in 2016 and are expected to grow to 2.7 trillion baht in 2017, according to the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
