Whether she is UK citizen or not, she will have the same legal right. I do not know much about UK law. But if you were married about a year or two, than what make her entitled to 10,000 UK pound.? In USA, she will not be eligible for her greencard until after two years. Foreign women are under probation and watch by Homeland Security until they become citizens.
