    Thank You!

» Thailand breathed a collective sigh of relief on Monday night after a team of 12 teenage football players and their coach were found alive inside Tham Luang Cave in Chiang Rai after 10 days of being trapped inside. Though we may be able to sleep sound, there's still a long way to go (and many more dramas, rumours and photos of handsome rescuers to come) before they are evacuated to safety. It's already been reported that they may have to stay there for months so let's keep our fingers crossed and our hopes alive.

» Katsumi Sakakura is a world-renowned Japanese artist/performer known for his spectacular video projection performances. He syncs his martial arts movements perfectly with a projection of Japanese imagery on a screen, delivering adrenaline-pumping performances. His group ORIENTARHYTHM travels around the world to perform at various events and on TV shows but it has been a long journey for Katsumi to get to where he is today. When we learned that his group will fly to Bangkok to perform at the opening of the Asian Football Confederation Annual Awards on Nov 29, we couldn't resist an opportunity to talk to this fascinating man.

Crossword Puzzle: Thai PM Candidates Edition

Guru, Pornchai Sereemongkonpol, Published on 22/02/2019

» As the March 24 election nears, the number of opinion polls have increased. On Sunday, one poll in particular caught my eyes. Super Poll announced the result of a survey, which I unofficially translate to "The Public’s Concern During Election Season". What made this poll stand out is that when they asked people about their specs for PM candidates, they use cryptic descriptions such as "Man in his 50s. Former leader of this country with high position" and "Man in his 40s. Former exec. A political activist." Instead of simply using their actual names like other polls? They did that to avoid violating any election rules, perhaps.

If you get all of them, you are pretty well-versed in Thai culture. Kudos!

» Ademonstration against a controversial dam project in Mae Wong National Park will start at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre tomorrow. The dam plan has been criticised for its lack of transparency, questionable effi ciency in preventing future fl ooding and its threat to irreplaceable trees and wildlife. To deputy PM Plodprasob Suraswadi, forests can be regrown and wildlife bred, but an online petition against the project on Change.org has garnered over 113,401 signatures, becoming the biggest campaign of its kind in Asia (who knew that Thais are such environmentalists?!).
