    Could Thailand ever come out from political nightmare?

I know its not popular to think this: but maybe the best thing for Thailand is to offer him an amnesty in exchange for permitting elections to go ahead. Democracy is surely worth a tradeoff? Otherwise we risk him taking power, and I think even the Bangkok elite would fear that. He already asked for an 'off the press' meeting between Abhisit and Yingluk early on in these protests. So maybe he was hinting at a deal along those lines? Really it's more access to the press. You never hear from them in the Bangkok press, there seems to be a bias there.
