Anonymous commented : He is in this section and most in the prostitution section. Dowery is setted according to socio-status of her family, family's wealth, her educational level, and her virginity. Some of your statement is collect about Thai men are able to afford to marry some of these women. As I mentioned before that these women are for "Export Only."

Anonymous commented : Max, ok trow all people of European origin out of Thailand, together whit there investments, you forbid tourists of european origin to visit Thailand. So it will be very safe in Thaliand, Crime will dissapear, prostitution will be finisht. If all Europeans as you claimed are gangster, you should not do bussiness, or export to them. So all Thai people can go back to ther rice fields. Get a life man.

Anonymous commented : Ian. You are off track again, "Thai Fathers." There are varieties of reasons why some girls gone and going to work in these types of service industries. Many Hill-Tribes were are sending or outright sold their daughters to do the service industries or later to human trafficers; Thai social workers are working hard to train these Hill-Tribe people from this type of practice, which is non-tradition...due to poverty. Traditionally, Thai fathers do not approve of their daughters marrying off with farangs. But since the late '70, the trend has been reversing due to marry honorable marriages...most of '70 to '80 marriages between American GI's and rural girls have changed the mindset of rural families. Nowaday, girls from all level in Thai society are jumping up on the band-wagon to marry foreigners. The urban girls are leading in this trend. It is now very trendy for urban girls to walk around with farangs with fewer people viewing them as some kind of prostitutes. Thai-Chinese girls are leading in looking for foreign husbands now also since Chineses are traditionally prohibiting their daughters from marrying indigenous Thai men; this situation is due to low availability of quality local Chinese men. I do not think that there would be this type of problem if the batch of post-WWII Chineses integrated with the local Thais like their previous immigrant cousins. Either ways, the trend and fad now are for Thai women to export themselves to any rich foreign countries with any type of foreign men...mostly of not very high quality comparing to what are available in their native countries in my view and experiences. With these trend and western fads, these gullible women and urbanites are picking-up bad habits and foreign low caste social practices like fornication. There will not be much changes and improvements if Thai government is not moving toward suitable mass education system and decentralization of wealths and infrastructures.

Anonymous commented : < Thai women to export themselves to any rich foreign countries with any type of foreign men...mostly of not very high quality comparing to what are available in their native countries > Rooster As a woman, I found your thoughts very, very offensive. We do not have to export ourselves to rich foreign guys (and why does it have to be foreign guys?). Women are not objects that you can do whatever you think fit. There is nothing wrong with marry-up, people do that all the time – men or women, but it doesn’t have to lower the pride in what they are. Most women get marry because they fell in love, want to spend the rest of their lives with the man they trust. Money is not everything. I’m not saying money can’t buy happiness because most of the times it does. But having to live with some rich guy without any trust in him is a suicide. I think I can represent most women on this. You cannot draw a conclusion about women with a few women that you may have in your life. Remember, you mum is a woman too. And I’m sure that she will be very sad if she realises how her beloved boy has a negative perception towards women. Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.

Anonymous commented : you understand that Thailand exports commodity products and not durable items, Thai women would be Thai OTOP product. Thai government knew and keep this statistic and do have Thai social workers in these foreign countries to help these Thai women in case of some type of abuses. Thai foreign students and the wives of US GI's have started this trend, and it has become socially acceptable practice...not to mention some people at the top of Thai hi-so.

Anonymous commented : Only the most niave farang would fall for this now well-worn Thai trick. Thailand's stupid anti-foreigner laws are a major reason why NO intelligent farang makes any investment in Thaioand - ofther than to re-export.

Anonymous commented : a global scale. Thailand exports its' women. The above will only massively decline when Western countries introduce Reciprocal Laws - i.e. nationals of countries which ban ownership by Westerners are in turn banned from owning in the West. But that's a silly zero-sum, no-winner game. Australia - under John Howard - has developed good interim measures. No finance visas - unless you're a wealthy celebrity. Unlike the UK, it is now almost impossible for a bar-girl to scam her way into Oz. Howard's Australia has let in far more Thais than ever before - but only the better ones. Not the worst.

Anonymous commented : Very true, but my best advise is to never marry a thail woman. They are simply uncompatible with foreigner, full stop. Without going in the thai life details, disonnesty is what they're best at, moreover due to their beautiful cultures and dream that everything is perfect in their societies. They kbow it isn't. However, as most of them are blind in viewing the reality. Lack of education, ignorance and the deeper problems in the thai society. There are many thailands, and including the ones on the top of the range, there is still a huge gap between them and us. My wife is from a wealthy industrial export business familly. Altough many of those people live in a cocoon, they're still uncompatible with foreigner. Still i can't do anything interested here as eventough that family connections don't help me, but simply put me away. Thailand fact, sadly.

Anonymous commented : AD. Labeling is a rude form of ignorant. As Buddhist, it is a form of sin to be ignorant. In today's political correctness, western women seemed to enjoy labeling and putting down men by labeling them while they are talking about men freely. You do not find men trying to label women as female chauvinists. In any cases, chauvinism is seemed as purely male. This western notion of chauvinism are being promoted here in Thailand also with significant corrupted western cultural influences; good influences seemed to untransmittable world wide for some reasons due to mostly profits. As I said before, Thai men have been getting the bad wraps from the faitures of our leaders and bad foreign agendas...indigenous Thais are getting bad wraps too. They are leisurely being labeled with names for profits and for advantages of others. We are third class citizens in our own land. Our young women are being catering as prostitutes, servants, export commodity, and etc.. In foreign countries in EU or North America, Asian prostitutes are portraying themselves as being Thais including in the internet. It destroying our social and cultural integrities. With muslims, chineses, and etc. wanting to make their own dominations over the expenses over our backs. As you saw and see in this past election, it seemed fair and right to label rural Thais and indigenous Thais as vote sellers. If I have my ways and resources, I wish to take all these Bangkok urbanites and politicians to court for slandering and etc..
