» 1. Museum Siam, in collaboration with the Thailand Association for the Blind, welcomes all to visit their special The King In Our Heart Exhibition, a multimedia exhibition meant to allow people with all types of disabilities to appreciate the late King Bhumibol's myriad achievements. Designed for both able-bodied and physically-impaired visitors, the exhibitions will be displayed with various types of sensory aids, such as a voiced-narration of the exhibitions, Braille explanations and tactile, 3D-models. You can visit the exhibition every day (except Mondays, when the museum is closed) till Jan 21, from 10am-6pm, for free.

» 1 Art gallery, bar and tattoo shop Maison Close BKK will be hosting a special art exhibition, Ero Guro, at their venue tonight, 8pm. It will focus on the Japanese artistic movement of "ero guro", which uses grotesque images of spirits and sexuality to portray eroticism, sexual corruption and decadence. The movement began in Japan in the 1930s. The exhibition will feature works from some of the best contemporary ero-guro artists, including Toshio Saeki, Suehiro Maruo and more.

» 1. To celebrate the diplomatic relationship between Thailand and the Ukraine, the Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre (BACC) will be hosting the "Voice Of My Soul" exhibition, a showcase of the works of world-renowned Ukranian artist Ivan Marchuk. Hailed as one of the maestros of the modern art world, Marchuk is the only Ukranian artist to be recognised by the prestigious International Academy of Modern Art in Rome, Italy and has produced more than 5,000 works of art, divided into 12 collections, five of which will be on display at the BACC. The exhibition will begin on Oct 31 at 4pm, and will end on Nov 12.

Before the main event of Art Auction For Refugees on March 11 at Moca (Museum of Contemporary Art), which will raise funds as part of UNHCR's global "Nobody Left Outside Campaign" to support 2 million refugees in 12 countries, pop by to check out the art pieces being showcased at the Lifestyle Hall, Siam Paragon's 2nd floor, from Feb 15–19. The exhibition opens on Feb 15 at 4pm with speeches and a 40-minute dhamma talk by the Venerable Phra Maha Vudhijaya Vajiramedhi, who is helping organise the event and a tour of the art exhibition.

» 1. It is an unfortunate fact that in the real world it is often the good guys are at a disadvantage. To commemorate and honour the humanitarians and environmentalists who gave up their lives protecting the rights and environment of their local communities, the Bangkok Arts and Cultural Center (BACC) will host the For Those Who Die Trying exhibition, featuring photographs showcasing 59 human rights and environment activists who have been murdered or abducted over the last 12 years. The exhibition will begin on Jan 31 and will continue until Feb 5. On opening day at 10am, a documentary about the photographs made by human rights activist Luke Duggleby will be screened and the 90s String Quartet will perform.

» 1. After a dozen years as one of Thailand's premier shopping centres, Siam Paragon is celebrating its latest anniversary with their extensive "Siam The Great Celebration" campaign. It's made up of multiple smaller events set to be held until Jan 15 next year. Examples of the events featured include a pop-up installation from Miu Miu fashion brand, an exhibition of French jewellery brand Cartier's special Cartier Red Box and a Harry Potter-themed "Christmas In The Wizarding World" retail experience. There will also be various special promotions and discounts for shoppers throughout the campaign's duration.

On Dec 21, fans of this impressionist artist can enjoy his latest works at the Alex Face Alive Exhibition, held at the Bangkok Citycity Gallery, in the south Sathorn area. The exhibition will run until February.

Head to the Alliance Francaise on Witthayu Road this afternoon to attend Art For Charity By Surat, a small art exhibition held by amateur painter Surat Lampang, who will be selling his contemporary acrylic and/or oil paintings at the event. Individual paintings go for from 9,000-17,000 baht, while set paintings begin at 48,000 baht. All proceeds will go to two charity organisations: the Catholic Church Aged for Poor (in Yangoon, Myanmar) and the Thungmahamek Boys House (Bangkok).

From now until Aug 30, learn about the legendary designer's life and times at the Yves Saint Laurent: Birth Of A Legend photo exhibition, held at Siam Paragon's Hall of Fame on the M floor. Held in collaboration with the Embassy of France, the exhibition will feature 49 photographs taken at various stages of Saint Laurent's life, as well as a recreation of his work desk.
