» พระนครศรีอยุธยา-วังช้างอยุธยาแลเพนียด นิมนต์พระสงฆ์ ประกอบพิธี ไหว้ศาลปะกำ บังสุกุลให้ช้างที่ล้มตาย และปะพรมน้ำพุทธมนต์ เพื่อเป็นสิริมงคลให้กับช้าง พร้อมจัดเลี้ยงโต๊ะอาหารช้างกว่า 70 เชือก เนื่องในวันช้างไทย ตลอด 20 ปี ที่ผ่านมา มูลนิธิพระคชบาล วังช้างอยุธยา แลเพนียด ได้ร่วมกับหน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชน รณรงค์จัดกิจกรรมให้กับช้าง ด้วยการจัดโต๊ะจีนอาหารช้างมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งปัจจุบันผู้เลี้ยงช้าง ได้ตั้งกลุ่มคชสารคู่แผ่นดิน เพื่อร่วมกับรัฐบาลในการแก้ปัญหาของราษฎรผู้เลี้ยงช้าง พร้อมกับจัดทำแผนแม่บทช้างแห่งชาติ 20 ปีเสนอต่อรัฐบาลซึ่งวันที่ 13 มีนาคมเป็นวันที่คณะกรรมการคัดเลือกสัตว์ประจำชาติ มีมติให้ช้างเผือกเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของประเทศไทยเป็นวันช้างไทย ดังนั้น ทุกวันที่ 13 มีนาคมของทุกปีจังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา จึงจัดงานวันช้างไทย อยากให้คนไทยรักช้างอย่างจริงใจ ซึ่งทางผมได้ต่อสู้เรื่องนี้มาโดยตลอด ช้างเป็นสัตว์คู่บ้านคู่เมือง ร่วมรบเคียงบ่าเคียงไหล่ต่อสู้ทำศึกสงครามกับพระมหากษัตริย์ มาตั้งแต่โบราณ มีศักดิ์ศรี จึงได้ผลักดันให้รัฐบาล และทุกภาคส่วน โดยเฉพาะชาวช้าง ได้ให้ความสำคัญวันช้าง เชิญชวนชาวไทย ได้แทนคุณช้าง ให้ช้างได้กินอาหารที่หลากหลายชนิดเต็มอิ่มด้วยPhoto By Jetjaras Na RanongPublished caption :Elephants join a feast of fruit and vegetable to celebrate the Thai National Elephant Day at the Elephant Palace & Royal Kraal in Ayutthaya yesterday.
