» Adam Yauch, better known as MCA, the visionary rapper, musician and activist, passed away from cancer in 2012, which forced the rest of his former band members in The Beastie Boys to decide not to carry on the name without him. What happened shocked and saddened the music world. And nearly a decade since disbanding and disappearing from the spotlight, and following the successful release of Beastie Boys Book in 2018, the remaining two Beastie Boys, Michael Diamond (Mike D) and Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock), teamed up with award-winning director Spike Jonze to share with fans the full story of their band and 40 years of friendship in this live documentary experience, Beastie Boys Story. This is a legendary story that is raw, powerful, and also very personal, but it's one that is also hilarious, entertaining and at times even emotional. Digital streaming is now available on Apple TV+.
