» For those who love to read, Project Gutenberg is a delight. They were, as they say, the first producer of free electronic books. They have a huge collection of works (32,000 to date) that have fallen out of copyright (which means they can be downloaded and read without being made to feel guilty for being an Internet pirate; well, sort of _ they do advise that those outside the US consult their own copyright laws). Titles span all sorts of subjects and come in many languages, not simply English. Several different computer formats are supported, including plain vanilla HTML and text files, ePub, MobiPocket, iPad, Kindle, Sony Reader, iPhone, Android and more.

» The last time we talked about a site where one could get free content, it was served a ''cease and desist'' order almost the next day (tvgorge.net) and most of the content disappeared or was no longer available. At the risk of another such embarrassment, we would like to take you to another place where you can get free content while making the same point: get it while you can.
