    Little legends live on

Life, Kartika Inggas, Published on 17/03/2014

ยป If you are in your mid-20s or beyond, chances are that Mana, Manee, Piti and Chujai were once your school friends. Imaginary ones, of course, for they once lived in Thai language textbooks that every elementary student had to study. Through their lives and adventures in rural Thailand, at least two generations of children learned the basics of the language, from the working of consonants and vowels to the construction of sentences. The books were in use from 1978 to 1994 before they were replaced by a newer series.
