    A Stamp of approval

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 06/08/2014

» Apiwat Eurthavornsuk would never be described as traditionally handsome. But there's something endearing about the combination of his droopy eyes and upwardly curved lips, which give the impression of an etched-in smile, that complements his easy-going, good-tempered, everyman persona.

    Soundtrack to a generation

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 04/06/2015

» I still remember the day Bodyslam walked into the Post's offices to promote their eponymous debut album in 2002. I was a rookie, and so were Artiwara Kongmalai, Tanadol Changsawek and Rattapol Phanchet. As I recall, they were awkward, gangly and didn't quite grasp the entire concept of a press tour. They were young men who had recently given up careers (in more respectable fields) to pursue their musical dreams. In retrospect, all the fidgeting and slight cockiness was well placed and self explanatory.

    Wonderfully fruity

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 25/12/2014

» The first ever Wonderfruit Festival was picture perfect. And perfect pictures continue to flood social media. You can't really blame the "Wonderers" as the first lifestyle festival of its kind in Thailand was just plain pretty. There weren't any spots, even though it could use a bit more greens, that weren't Instagram-worthy.

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 11/07/2014

» The durability of G-Shock watches is truly a feat. First introduced in 1983 and manufactured by Casio, G-Shock has stood the test of time, not to mention passing fashions and fads, partially due to its hard-wearing construction and its functionality. Its creative edge has also helped propel the brand to its current esteemed status.

    Ice, ice Mickey

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 08/04/2014

» All things Disney have dominated the psyche of children around the world ever since Mickey Mouse popped up in black and white. Little girls, especially, still dream of becoming Disney princesses despite finger-waving warnings and criticisms of gender stereotyping and not-so-subtly hidden chauvinistic values. As much as you try to shun your young ones from forming unrealistic ideas of relationships through these old-time cartoons and steer them, if they insist, toward newer Disney works like Toy Story or Frozen, the unexplainable need for fluffy romance seems to persist, even in grown women.

    In the name of 'liberalism'?

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 24/04/2014

» If I have to pin down one word that I hear more than “selfie” these days, it would have to be “liberal”. The term gets thrown around so much, it should have been hit out of a ball park already.

    It's the music that counts

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 11/12/2013

» Monsith Khamsoi is not releasing a new album. He is not promoting his new movie or TV drama. He hasn't written any book or been fatally injured in a motor vehicle accident. His increasingly ambiguous sexuality, though, is currently making the rounds in the media. Monsith's appearance on Woody Kerd Ma Kui last week became the talk of town after the veteran luk thung stalwart and his rumoured boyfriends denied allegations of romance and attempted to explain their relationships. The younger man who lives with Monsith turned out to be his "adopted" son, and the older gentleman, known only as Thanakorn, is just his dear, lifelong friend whom Monsith considers his partner _ and the feelings are mutual.
