    » 1 Bangkok has been bombarded with an amazing line-up of concerts this year, and for any rockers out there, American industrial metal band Nine Inch Nails (NIN) will be bringing their explosive set to Bangkok on Aug 14 at Lat Phrao's Moonstar Studio. Known for their dark, intense and ferocious music like The Hand That Feeds, Only and Survivalism, the band has won two Grammy's for Best Metal Performance and have sold over 30 million records worldwide. Their live concerts are hailed as a "musical, visual, emotional sensory onslaught" -- and with sold out stadiums in Paris, London, Amsterdam and Las Vegas, fans in Bangkok shouldn't hesitate to buy tickets.     » 1. Bangkok CityCity Gallery has a new exhibition launching tomorrow and on display until Jan 21. Museum Of Kirati, a solo exhibition by Thai artist Chulayarnnon Siriphol, reinterprets the classic Thai novel Behind The Painting (1937) by Sri Burapha (the pen name of Kulap Saipradit). The multidisciplinary show which consists of moving images, watercolour paintings and sculptures acts as a museum of remembrance to Mom Ratchawong Kirati, the protagonist in the novel. Artist Chulayarnnon portrays himself as both Kirati and her lover Nopphon, and reinterprets their tragic love story. For more information go to facebook.com/bangkokcitycity.

The French government has now significantly reduced visa delivery times to merely 48 hours in order to try to increase the number of foreign tourists following a dramatic dip due to the wave of terrorist attacks in 2016. This year, the country is targeting 89 million tourists from 83 million last year, and plans to bring in 100 million tourists in 2020.

    » 1. Another Italian talent is dropping by Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit's The Living Room to wow audiences with his world-class Jazz. For only one night, on Oct 19, Nicola Tariello Quintet will be performing three sets from his "Sotto Le Stelle Del Jazz" -- "Under The Stars Of Jazz" -- project, an evocative interpretation of Paolo Conte's work under the same name. Tariello, a renowned trumpet player, will be exploring jazz from the 1920s all the way to his very own original arrangements. The Nicola Tariello Quintet will play three 45-minute sets at 9pm, 10pm and 11pm. An entertainment fee of 300 baht will be applied, except to guests spending at least 1,000 baht per person at any of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit's dining venues.
