    Bonjour, Loubi World!

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 30/10/2020

» For the first time ever, heel fanatics will be able to buy themselves a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes for approximately 62 baht. That's a crazy good deal, considering how a pair of shoes from this luxury high-end brand should set you back no less than 20,000 baht. The catch, however, is that all this must be done (and worn) in the Korea-based gaming application Zepeto.

    Feeling all right

B Magazine, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 26/08/2018

» There is a stillness -- borderline boring -- to Scrubb's chosen mode of visual expression. The constant of stony faces and stock-still poses that embellishes all of the band's album artwork, editorial photo shoots and magazine covers is bequeathed on us too, as Torpong "Ball" Chantabubpha and Thawatpon "Muay" Wongboonsiri laugh through gritted teeth that it is actually a strain for them to smile for the cameras or to assume the role of a dancing monkey.

    Damn everlasting

Muse, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 23/09/2017

» Only one word can encapsulate Tattoo Colour and what it's like to be sitting in the same room with them: guan teen. This would roughly translate to its members' smartass demeanour. It is no wonder that this energy, time and time again, makes their music feel like the equivalent of your all-knowing college BFF giving you a pat on the back (or smack in the head) when love goes bitter.

    So into you, Ariana

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 22/08/2017

» It's true how beautiful people can do no wrong. They can be doing nothing in front of a screen for 10 minutes and people will still be entranced. That was exactly how Ariana Grande's first concert in Bangkok last Thursday kicked off. With a countdown video of her checking herself out looking pretty, swinging around her hair, interacting with her crew and teasing the audience with "I-can't-hear-you" by leaning her ear in towards the camera.

» Sitamon "Peach" Pholdee is adorned in huge, glittery musical notes that dangle from her ears and is wearing Sretsis and Saint Laurent silver boots -- thus confirming all the gab we've heard before that she is always excessively and fabulously dressed. That she must be in the spotlight as a consequence of being married to the nation's ultimate heartthrob, Jesdaporn "Tik" Pholdee, has absolutely nothing to do with it.

    The virtuous one

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 14/04/2017

» Liam Cunningham is quite a funny bunny -- a stark opposite of the character he is best known for portraying: Game Of Thrones' dependably virtuous knight, Ser Davos Seaworth. While in Bangkok earlier this month, he unflinchingly munched the head off fried insects at the street stall and gleefully admitted to nicking tiny props from the set every year, be it the small wooden stag or coins from Braavos. He asks the props man first of course, and most of it ends up on his daughter's "wall of awesome" in her bedroom.

Riding high in the simulated Wild West

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 05/12/2016

» Looking all parts American perfection and stomaching spicy dishes surprisingly well (according to his bodyguard) for a first-timer in Singapore, James Marsden was in the Lion City last week to promote the season finale of HBO's Westworld. As the human equivalent of goodness and sunshine, it becomes apparent that the Hollywood dreamboat is fittingly well-known for his nice-guy roles (in X-Men, The Notebook, Enchanted, Hairspray) because he is also such a person in real life. In fact, it all feels satisfyingly in-character when the 43-year-old admits that he loves Frank Capra movies and that the violence in Westworld isn't gratuitous.
