    Something in the water

Life, Melalin Mahavongtrakul, Published on 04/03/2019

» Rows of small glass containers fill multiple shelves along the wall. Inside them, swimming leisurely and living separately in their tiny, private space are colourful Siamese fighting fish, popular among various crowds. Some keep them as pets for their pure eye-candy pleasure, or get them on a fish spar to make quick cash, or selectively breed them for commercial purposes.

    Disney for days

Muse, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 06/08/2016

» Two American things Thais really like come together this season. As one of the exclusive projects that celebrate American pop culture and to commemorate Coach's 75th anniversary, the house of leather joins hands with the House of Mouse to create limited-edition bags that play canvas to the world's most famous mouse. With sketches created by Disney's animators, Mickey Mouse sits on the signature glove-tanned leather of totes, bag packs, wallets and messenger bags. Like the previous Peanuts collection, the embossed character at the bottom of the bag is a bit of a blink-and-you'll-miss decoration, but this time, there are bold hang-tags in the shape of Mickey's gloves and face also. If you'd rather proclaim your love more loudly, some bags have the actual Mickey Mouse ear sprouting out from body, which can be spotted a mile away, be it in black or the very red of Mickey's two-buttoned pants. Find the Disney x Coach collection at Coach stores in CentralWorld, The EmQuartier and Siam Paragon.

» If you're in the mood for dance-offs and dance sequences in the streets, in practice rooms, in restaurants, in studios, in bars, in front of the Bellagio Fountains, on motorcycles, on TV, on the harbour, on buses, on the stage, on another stage in the US, and amid a monolith of a canyon structure, then ABCD 2 (Any Body Can Dance 2) has more than enough dancing for all.

In Your Name, a conspiracy of the stars

Life, Kong Rithdee, Published on 11/11/2016

» A millennial comet is hurtling past Earth and two Japanese teenagers wake up one morning with their bodies switched, living each other's life and dreaming each other's dream. Mitsuha in a small rural town becomes Taki, and Taki in Tokyo becomes Mitsuha. Then time bends, souls migrate, the sky bursts, and the painful transience of love pushes and pulls the two high-schoolers in a conspiracy of stars (and quantum physics, maybe).

The unlikely evolution of a Disney star

    Muse, Published on 22/10/2016

» At the Metrograph theatre on the Lower East Side of New York, Rowan Blanchard wore a knit pleated skirt overlaid by a pleated sleeveless tunic and chunky platform gold glitter shoes, all made and provided by the fashion house Kenzo. Holding a bag of salty popcorn and another bag of Swedish fish, she sat in one of the first few rows, just as a screening of a film she appeared in was about to begin.
