» Trance DJ, promoter, and founder of Pure Pleasure Entertainment, Srangkun Sirisinha better known as Lonskii, is the sole driving force behind the trance scene in Thailand and all of Asia. Starting as a DJ back in 2004 in Melbourne, Australia, and having performed and hosted multiple shows and parties, he sought to bring trance music to Thailand. He is responsible for bringing many high-profile trance DJs to the country as well as expanding the annual trance event Transmission to Bangkok. He recently hosted the three-day long UnKonscious, Asia's biggest trance music festival on the beach this past weekend, held in the private Paradise Beach in Phuket. » The Mall Group has begun charging B1 for each plastic bag to coincide with the International Plastic Bag Free Day on Jul 3. Shoppers at The Mall, Emporium, EmQuartier and Siam Paragon are being encouraged to bring their own bags for all their shopping needs. It's a small but significant step towards the city's progress in reducing the use of plastic like many other places in Thailand. Even Central Group has stopped handing out plastic bags to shoppers. Additionally, they will not provide plastic bags on the 1st, 4th and 16th of every month reminding shoppers to bring in their reusable bags.

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 01/02/2019

» Plastic pollution is an ever-increasing threat to health and the environment, signalling a desperate call for change. Madeleine Recknagel aims to fight the "throwaway" lifestyle we have become so accustomed to by leading a zero-waste lifestyle with a philosophy of rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse, repair, recycle and rot. The lecturer gives talks and hosts workshops at various institutions and events, highlighting issues, as well giving out solutions on the use of plastic. She recently did a talk at TEDxChiangMai last year titled 'From Sustainable Self to Sustainable Us'. She has a blog and Facebook/Instagram page called "The Sustainable Self", which serves as a platform for her to provide tips and insights to hosting community workshops on how to live a waste-free lifestyle.

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 22/06/2018

» On the corner of Soi Thaniya on Silom Road is the newest branch of Hooters, sitting in what was once Flann O'Brien's Irish Pub. The American sports bar franchise, with its famous buffalo wings, beers and of course, Hooters Girls, is no stranger to the country as this newest outlet is the third in Bangkok -- the sixth overall in the country -- to be established. Curious customers who have yet to set foot in one of the eatery chains can do so now with ease as this branch is a few steps away from BTS Sala Daeng and a five-minute walk from MRT Silom.
