To date, the Virginia-based indie rock act has released two studio albums _ Gemini in 2010 and Nocturne in 2012 as well an EP, Empty Estate, early this year.

Diving in with Swim Deep

» An exhibition currently on display at Chulalongkorn University’s The Art Center combines videos, oil-on-canvas paintings on walls and gigantic creations hanging from roofs. There are photographs of nakedness and nature, huge installation works on floors and electronic sculptures which could take you quite some time to figure out, if at all.

» Try clicking "join" to just a few exhibition opening events on Facebook and you will realise how overwhelming the Bangkok art scene can actually be. There are notifications of pre-opening private views, pre-opening talks, opening parties, special performances, and, of course, an exhibition closing party again. These plethora of events are totally understandable, however, because art spaces in Bangkok are becoming more about being a fun place to hang out, and, it has to be said, art does get better after a few beers.

» 'An art fair is always a commercial event," said Lorenzo Rudolf, founder and president of Art Stage Singapore whose sixth edition ended last month. There's not a response more apt than that to a common complaint like: "Oh, but Art Stage is too commercial." It's an art fair, and quite naturally, as Rudolf added in an interview during the fair, "the galleries come here to sell".
