    » 1 Art gallery, bar and tattoo shop Maison Close BKK will be hosting a special art exhibition, Ero Guro, at their venue tonight, 8pm. It will focus on the Japanese artistic movement of "ero guro", which uses grotesque images of spirits and sexuality to portray eroticism, sexual corruption and decadence. The movement began in Japan in the 1930s. The exhibition will feature works from some of the best contemporary ero-guro artists, including Toshio Saeki, Suehiro Maruo and more.

    » 1. Jam Ciné Club is back for November under the theme "Dystopia", with a focus on sci-fi films from the 60s and 70s with disturbing relevance today. This Wednesday, the film to be screened is Logan's Run (1976). Set in the year 2274, the film focuses on an idyllic sci-fi future where everyone is made to believe that life ends at the age of 30. As is true of all sci-fi dystopias, however, things aren't always as they seem, causing various members of society to flee from the utopia upon turning 30. Logan, a law enforcement officer, goes undercover to expose the hideout of these "runners", only to find himself a champion of their cause. Screenings start at 8pm, and is free for anyone interested.

Centred on a famous 1950s gay magazine of the same name, The Circle follows schoolteacher Ernst Ostertag who falls in love with performer Robi Rapp amid a movement recognised as a pioneer of gay emancipation in Europe. Members of the FCCT can attend for free on Monday at 7pm, while non-members can enjoy the screening for 150 baht.
