    Thirteen years, same Apartment

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 30/09/2014

» Thirteen years ago, Apartmentkhunpa was born out of the debris of legendary indie rock bands Siam Secret Service and Araija. We thought the new outfit wouldn't last for long, but four full-length albums, countless collaborative work across all disciplines and 13 years later, Tul Waitoonkiat (vocals), Piyanart Jotikasthira (guitar), Gun Rujinarong (guitar), Pukan Sunsuriya (bass) and Tassarerk Limsila (drums) are still doing what they do best: making music and playing to still-growing, appreciative crowds.

But none of the enveloping, mean-spirited adjectives often associated with the high-flying career — shallow, materialistic — can be applied to Cheera Choo, a New York-based Thai model. With sharp cheekbones that could cut through glass and hearts, her exotic beauty definitely makes her a model in every physical sense — she is lanky, poised, with delicate limbs and sculpted, carefully made-up features. But she is also a great conversationalist who is engaging, bright, funny and straightforward. Cheera is reminiscent of every girl’s high school best friend.

    Tune up, plug in

Life, Onsiri Pravattiyagul, Published on 04/09/2013

» Twenty years ago, a young, rising musician, only five years into what would be a long and prosperous career, entered a studio with an already famous senior, who had by then achieved near-legend status, to record an impromptu acoustic session simply called Unplugged. It went on to sell more than a million copies, and has now become a collector's item.
