MEA Advances Rama IV Road with Underground Cables

» The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), the Telecommunications Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Royal Thai Police, telecommunications entrepreneurs, and network operators, is supporting the removal of communication cables along Rama IV Road from the Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong) area to the Sam Yan Intersection, spanning 1.5 kilometres. This initiative is part of a larger project to install an underground communication cable system, with plans to continue the removal of overhead cables in the area until May 2024.

MEA Transforms Asok Montri with Underground Cables

» The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), led by Thitivut Ngernklay, Deputy Governor (Operation Transmission), in partnership with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wisanu Subsompon, Deputy Governor of the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA); Assoc. Prof. Somphop Purivigraipong, Commissioner of the Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC); Rachan Pensiri, Advisor to the Executive Committee of The Telecommunications Association of Thailand; representatives of the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC); telecommunication enterprises; and related networks have agreed to collaborate in removing communication cables along Asok Montri Road, from Petchburi intersection to Sukhumvit intersection, spanning 2.4 kilometres, following the completion of underground conduits construction.

Huawei and Nakhon Si Thammarat Partner to Upskill Thailand's Digital Workforce

» Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. on November 22, 2023 announced its partnership with Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and the National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA) under the ‘Digital Bus for Remote Areas’ project, which will run from 21 – 24 November 2023. The Digital Bus is one of Huawei’s flagship projects that the company has continuously driven for the last two consecutive years to elevate social equity in digital education across remote areas of Thailand. For this year, the aim is to provide digital literacy, cybersecurity, and clean energy in Digital Bus to 3,000 students at Khanompittaya School in Tambon Khanom, Amphoe Khanom, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Huawei also aims to use the project to expose younger generations to clean energy solutions and environmental care.
