From tourist to Miss Tourism

Guru, Mika Apichatsakol, Published on 19/02/2016

» Before the night of Jan 16, when Miss Tourism 2015 would be crowned in this year’s host country of Malaysia, Nuchnarin Sinlaparak was just a lanky communications student who loved travelling, fashion and photography. Not much has changed. She’s still lanky — rather, tall and elegant. She still likes the same things, only now she gets to channel her passions formally until the title of Miss Tourism World. The Bee's knees

» With Thonglor's famous brunch quarters, Roast, relocated to its new home at the Commons, Seenspace's second floor has welcomed a new tenant, Honey. Walk through the same doors to a brand new environment: Honey has got a much brighter and open interior than the former. Aside from the pleasing white and yellow colour palette established by furniture, we adore other subtle cues ascribing to the life of bees. The owner tells us the spherical cages and cylindrical shades are inspired by beekeepers' headgear.

Modern natives

» In Japan, a young person dressed in full traditional kimono in the big city on a regular day is no spectacle. Nor does there need to be a special occasion in India or Bangladesh to don a vibrant saree.
