» Over the past few years, American superheroes have dominated the movies in cinemas and series on various streaming services. That is likely to continue since Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe consists of planned releases in 2023 and 2024, while DC Extended Universe also has at least five films to be released next year. Last month, a reboot of the Red Eagle, perhaps Thailand's best-known superhero, was also announced for a planned release in 2024. » Have you become tired of the cliches on mainstream Thai TV? We sure have. These days we struggle to get through a single lakorn episode because the main characters unrealistically have perfect make-up and hair while sleeping (or even while in jail). Don't get us started on the oversupply of singing contests (which seems to act like a factory churning out performers). There are also game shows that reward celebrity contestants (who already make way more money than your average Thai). Couldn't we have something more original please, people in TV land?

However, Dan has also been a longtime comic fan, even winning the sud yod fan pan tae (super fan) title fromFan Pan Tae (a TV quiz show in which hardcore enthusiasts for different subjects compete to find out who’s the most knowledgeable) in the superhero category in 2006.
