Thailand Leads GMS Tourism Collaboration

» Thailand plays a leading role in GMS regional tourism, inviting executives from the National Tourism Promotion Agency and entrepreneurs from over 15 agencies to cooperate in pushing the target number of foreign tourists to the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) to exceed 95 million people by 2025. Senior tourism officials and executives from Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar will be special guests of the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports at the Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) from 5-7 June in Khao Lak, Phang-nga Province. On 5 June 2024, two days before the official opening of TTM+, they will tour Phuket, visiting Ban Bang Rong Community, Phuket Old Town Community, and various facilities promoting Sports and Health Tourism, Gastronomy Tourism, Marine Tourism, and other recreational tourism products.

IF Launches Thai Flavours to Global Market

LTD, the owner and exporter of IF and INNOCOCO brands, revealed the success of the market expansion as a leading beverage brand in international markets. In 2023, the company achieved sales of 3 billion THB, an 87% growth from 2022. Especially 100% coconut water, the hero product, has gained immense popularity both online and offline in China. Due to the natural taste and sweetness of IF coconut water that matches consumer preferences, this has driven the success of the IF brand in the market. With Cold Aseptic Technology, the most advanced technology in the industry, the product shelf life can be prolonged up to 12 months without preservatives while keeping the freshness and nutrients as if it were freshly cracked. Therefore, IF has become the top brand in customers' minds.

Bangchak to Stabilize Palm Oil Prices with B100

» Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, announced that in response to proposed solutions from the Department of Internal Trade to tackle declining palm oil prices, the company is poised to procure B100 at the standardised price set by the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) through BBGI Corporation, a major player in the biofuel industry and an affiliate of the Bangchak Group. BBGI will procure crude palm oil from extraction plants at a standardised price set by the Department of Internal Trade, in alignment with oil palm prices. This initiative aims to bolster support for farmers and promote the adoption of environmentally friendly energy sources.

» Panyapiwat Institute of Management's International College has revamped its former Modern Trade Management (International Program) to foster startup entrepreneurs and future-ready skills with a global focus. This 3.5-year Business Administration Program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to become "Modern Business Inno-preneurs" – sustainable and socially responsible entrepreneurs who can thrive in the ever-changing global business landscape. The program emphasises adaptability, flexibility, and the application of diverse knowledge to meet the demands of future businesses, particularly in the green business sector. Students will learn to design sustainable business models and compete on an international level. The curriculum is designed to create an "eco-system" at each level, providing students with a simulated environment to develop their skills, knowledge, and business acumen. » The Bangkok Business Challenge, the longest-running startup competition for aspiring future entrepreneurs, is gearing up for another year, with Sasin School of Management hosting the event and SCG Chemicals (SCGC), a leading innovator in chemical solutions, as its titled sponsor.
