Time turns to rubber

Life, Patipat Janthong, Published on 30/08/2013

» The Cha-uat station in Nakhon Si Thammarat province turned completely quiet after protesting rubber farmers blocked the railway at the Baan Toon-Cha-uat intersection, obstructing trains from travelling from the southern provinces to Bangkok. The demonstrators want the government to shore up the price of rubber milk to 120 baht per kilogramme. Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to handle the protesters' demands.
