Stocks Gain as US job market roars back

» Recap: Global stock markets moved up at the end of the week as US jobs data showed a bigger-than-expected rise in non-farm payrolls in October after two months of weakness. As well, a drop in the unemployment rate to 5% increased the likelihood that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next month for the first time in almost a decade. The Thai market also advanced.

» Recap: Stock markets around the world rallied last week after the US Federal Reserve signalled that interest rates would rise more slowly than expected. However, the SET slid back below 1,500, led by tourism and aviation stocks, as Thailand reported its first case of Mers, and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) red-flagged the country for failing to address safety issues.
