Gastronomes & gamers

» Game and burger buffs can have both of their appetites satisfied in one sitting at Game Over Lounge. The new "electronic playground" and cafe opened last month to serve gaming sessions via PCs, consoles, pool table and board games with a big side of famed burgers (because you know how tiring a virtual shoot-out can be). You see, the kitchen part of the place is called NERD and run by the beacon-of-burger food truck Daniel Thaiger. Your dream has come true, people! Finally a place where you can wait for one of their burgers and eat it in an air-con space! Anyone can eat at Game Over just like you do at a restaurant but, if you want a game on top of your food, you'll have to pay extra for membership and hourly rates. The impressive interior of Game Over is a far cry from your average internet shophouse where kids go to play games. It feels like you've walked into the man cave of a really cool guy who has games set up for friends. The patrons are gamers, expats and existing fans of the famous food van. And it turns out that Game Over takes both games and burgers seriously.

Hotels and restaurants have employed them to adorn their interiors while some have been hired by brands to use their designs.
