The Thai police's competence in managing crime professionally has been questioned time and again. We often hear in the media about how cases dismissed by the police due to insufficient evidence are then reopened because a relative or friend of the victim finds there was foul play and requests for the case to be reviewed. Thanks to social media, we get to view police brutality at its worse.
