» MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra became Bangkok governor in 2009 when he received nearly one million votes and over 45% of the vote. This time his main challenge comes from Pongsapat Pongcharoen – but the former deputy National Police chief faces the difficult task of turning large swathes of the Bangkok map from Democrat Party blue to Pheu Thai red.
