» Pakorn Wongkittikraiwan looks extremely serene for someone who designs jewellery as tough as nails. Looking relaxed in an inconspicuous plain shirt and black trousers, the stoic 30-year-old isn't much of a splashy persona compared to his fashion industry counterparts. Yet, he is the walking soul of Missile, the home-grown, rock-inspired jewellery brand, which celebrates its 12th anniversary this year. At the launch of "Missile 12th Anniversary The Greatest Hits" exhibition earlier this month at Siam Center, Pakorn was introduced as the young blood designer of the brand, despite the fact that his history with Missile began seven years ago.

» We've all probably gotten over the shock and incredulity of Bangkok becoming the World Book Capital next year. Hopefully, the year will be packed with book events and literary festivals of all sorts that will prove us worthy of the title we have been bestowed with. And since there aren't any lit gatherings happening in town at the moment, we can hop over and take a look at what Singapore is up to.
