BDMS Pioneers AI in Healthcare with CARIVA Investment

» Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited, or BDMS, announced an investment in CARIVA, Thailand's forefront medical technology start-up company in Southeast Asia as a medical AI developer of Medical Large Language Models (Medical LLMs). This project aims to leverage Thailand’s medical advancement to the next level by bringing artificial intelligence (AI) innovations to help interpret, analyse, and provide relevant information to the lab examination. This AI implementation functions as a medical assistant in analysing the patients’ conditions to heighten the efficiency of care and is one of BDMS' Sandbox projects to develop innovations in 5 areas: disease screening and diagnosis, data analysis for service improvement, technology for work process reduction, technology for timely health monitoring, and technology for sustainable medical services.

Braun (Thailand) Limited, a globally recognised medical technology company from Germany, has formalised a partnership with Namwiwat Medical Corp. PCL, an importer and manufacturer of medical tools and equipment for cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment, have signed an MoU, underscoring a shared commitment to uphold and enhance public health standards. The partnership between B. Braun Thailand and Namwiwat is set to create a specialised learning centre dedicated to sterile reprocessing. By establishing this centre with a focus on essential practices such as handling surgical instruments and sterile packaging of medical equipment, it aims to elevate the standards of disinfecting control and sterility within hospitals and medical sectors. Prudential Thailand Leads Customer Satisfaction in 2023

» Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited (Prudential Thailand), revealed its 2023 performance with Total Premiums received amounting to THB 34.7 billion, an increase of 11% from THB 31.3 billion in 2022, leading to a rise to #7 in market ranking (by Total Premium) among life insurers in Thailand. In addition, APE sales at THB 8.6 billion, a growth of 5% from THB 8.2 billion baht in 2022. Renewal premiums also saw an increase of 18% at THB 22.2 billion (from THB 18.7 billion in 2022).
