» 1. This Sunday, the Documentary Club welcomes you to a special screening of the Thai film Railway Sleepers (2016). Directed by independent filmmaker Sompot Chidgasornpongse, the film is an intimate look at the lives of train commuters in Thailand, made from footage collected over the course of eight years by Sompot himself. The screening begins at 5.15pm, with tickets costing 100 baht per seat. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the director. The Doc Club Theater is at Charoen Krung 30.

» 1 Art gallery, bar and tattoo shop Maison Close BKK will be hosting a special art exhibition, Ero Guro, at their venue tonight, 8pm. It will focus on the Japanese artistic movement of "ero guro", which uses grotesque images of spirits and sexuality to portray eroticism, sexual corruption and decadence. The movement began in Japan in the 1930s. The exhibition will feature works from some of the best contemporary ero-guro artists, including Toshio Saeki, Suehiro Maruo and more.

» 1. After a dozen years as one of Thailand's premier shopping centres, Siam Paragon is celebrating its latest anniversary with their extensive "Siam The Great Celebration" campaign. It's made up of multiple smaller events set to be held until Jan 15 next year. Examples of the events featured include a pop-up installation from Miu Miu fashion brand, an exhibition of French jewellery brand Cartier's special Cartier Red Box and a Harry Potter-themed "Christmas In The Wizarding World" retail experience. To celebrate the diplomatic relationship between Thailand and the Ukraine, the Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre (BACC) will be hosting the "Voice Of My Soul" exhibition, a showcase of the works of world-renowned Ukranian artist Ivan Marchuk. Hailed as one of the maestros of the modern art world, Marchuk is the only Ukranian artist to be recognised by the prestigious International Academy of Modern Art in Rome, Italy and has produced more than 5,000 works of art, divided into 12 collections, five of which will be on display at the BACC. The exhibition will begin on Oct 31 at 4pm, and will end on Nov 12.

» 1. The FCCT invites all to join their latest Documentary Film Night screening, this time featuring 2014 docudrama The Circle. Centred on a famous 1950s gay magazine of the same name, The Circle follows schoolteacher Ernst Ostertag who falls in love with performer Robi Rapp amid a movement recognised as a pioneer of gay emancipation in Europe. Members of the FCCT can attend for free on Monday at 7pm, while non-members can enjoy the screening for 150 baht.

A commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Asean community, the festival will feature seven films from seven neighbouring Asean countries of Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia, as well as seminars and discussions about various topics. » Touted as an art gallery, theatre, cinema, co-working space, cafe & restaurant, design studio, exotic garden, vintage barber and private museum -- among several other creative things -- ChangChui has become the talk of the town in recent days as much for its artsy, hipsterish concept as its contribution to the massive traffic congestion in the Bang Plad area since its opening last Friday. Over the weekend it attracted thousands of visitors, shoppers, diners and selfie addicts who feasted on ChangChui's industrial chic backdrop. By last Sunday, the space suggested through its Facebook page for visitors to come by taxi, for the convenience of everyone.
