And with its indie-ish charm, Nanjiani's witty performances, clever jokes about romance and cultural identity, The Big Sick turned out to be one of the movies I most remember from that same year. So I was really excited to hear they teamed up once again in the new comedy The Lovebirds, which is now streaming on Netflix. And although the new film is an entirely different beast and may not be as good as its predecessor, The Lovebirds still manages to deliver a semi-good laugh, and a heartwarming love story.
