» The vibe at T & Bar, Thong Lor’s newest resto-cafe, is difficult to pin down. One side of the interior feels like an English garden. It’s decorated with wild flowers, colourful cushions and candles. The other side is industrial; the concrete wall has graffiti on it, dark chains and lights hang from the ceiling and spiky cacti sit on the tables. The shelves between the two sections are lined with tins of tea and wine bottles. Is it a tea shop, a restaurant or a bar? For now, it’s passing for all three. Owned by six partners, T & Bar opened in February at Marketplace Thonglor. Flanked by upscale boutiques and vintage shops, its hideaway location – just follow the outdoor stone pathway – offers afternoon shoppers a convenient cosy/chic space to stop and relax with a meal or tea.
