PPRP, earn our trust

» Re: "Dress code a non-issue", (Editorial, July 12). Effective organisations and countries prioritise issues to be attacked in terms of importance, putting the most important first; the Palang Pracharath Party, core of the new government, should do the same instead of focusing on minor items like dress codes for MPs. The PPRP wasn't voters' first choice until election rules were changed after votes had been counted, and took over four months to form a cabinet overflowing with scandal-tainted and/or Thaksin-affiliated faces.

» The Office of Basic Education Commission (Obec) decided to introduce the Smart Classrooms project to replace the tablet PC project for students which was scrapped by the National Council for Peace and Order. The 1.17-billion-baht leftover budget, which was earlier earmarked to procure tablets for Mathayom 1 students in the North and Northeast, would be shifted and will be complemented by 3 billion baht from the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.
