» On behalf of CPAC, a cement and building materials company under Siam Cement Group (SCG), Mr Thammasak Sethaudom, President & CEO of SCG (second from left), and Mr Surachai Nimlaor, President of SCG Cement and Green Solution Business (first from left), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mr Hong Namkoong, President and CEO of SAMSUNG E&A Co., Ltd. (second from right), and Mr Dong Hyun Kim, Executive Vice President of the Engineering Technology Division of SAMSUNG E&A Co., Ltd. (first from right). The collaboration focuses on 3D printing and the commercialisation of special cementitious materials, combining SAMSUNG E&A's international expertise in end-to-end construction solutions with CPAC's over 100 years of excellence in cement and concrete products. The signing took place at SCG Headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand.

EVA Air Pioneers Sharkskin Technology for Greener Flights

» Lufthansa Technik AG is proud to announce EVA Air as the first Asian airline to sign up for modifications with its drag-reducing, and hence fuel-saving, AeroSHARK surface technology, jointly developed with BASF. The Taipei-based airline has decided to modify its entire cargo fleet of nine Boeing 777F long-range freighters with the innovative riblet films, covering the aircraft’s fuselage and engine nacelles. With B-16786, the first EVA Air freighter has already undergone this comprehensive modification at the airline’s home base at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport. Closely guided by Lufthansa Technik, the modification was carried out by EVA Air's affiliate, Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. (EGAT). The aircraft is expected to re-enter commercial service in early September.
