PTTEP Reports Strong H1 Performance and Dividend Payout

» Minor International Public Company Limited (MINT) announced net profit of THB 3,969 million for the first half of 2024, a 74% increase from the same period in 2023. This robust profit growth builds on last year’s high net profit base and reflects the strength of MINT’s business model as well as the continued resilience of the global travel industry. MINT’s core profit for 1H24 (profit after excluding extraordinary items) saw a solid 22% y-y growth for 1H24.

MEA Marks 66th Anniversary with Sustainable Energy Theme

» Wilas Chaloeysat, Governor of the MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority), stated, “On the auspicious occasion of the MEA’s 66th anniversary on 1 August 2024, MEA hosted the '66th Year: To be Sustainable Energy Utility' event to promote decarbonisation.” Under the eco-friendly theme, the venue was decorated with waste-free materials, and there was an exhibition zone featuring “good soil and unspoiled water to a happy life with sustainability.” The event also supported fundraising, donating 328,700 baht to the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation and 378,800 baht to the Foundation of the Welfare of the Cripple under the Royal Patronage of HRH the Princess. Participants also contributed by purchasing products from the Mae Fah Luang Foundation.

TOA Leads Eco-Friendly Paint Industry with Carbon Certifications

» On 30 July 2024, TOA Paint (Thailand) Public Company Limited (TOA), represented by CEO Jatuphat Tangkaravakoon, received the 2024 'Carbon Footprint Certification' for all three categories from Mr.Pongpanu Svetarundra, Chairman Board of Directors of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO). The certifications include the Carbon Footprint for Organisation (CFO) for the fifth year, Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP), and Carbon Footprint Reduction label (CFR), also known as the 'Global Warming Reduction Label'.   TOA has the highest number of certified products in the building paint market—40 products in total. These include flagship products like 'SuperShield' paint, which utilizes Cooling Paint technology and Triple Technology with Titanium Dioxide, Barium Sulfate, and Silica, reflecting up to 97.5% of sunlight, reducing wall heat by up to 90% and lowering indoor temperatures by 5.5 degrees Celsius. These advantages lead to energy savings, reduced electricity bills, and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Other certified products include TOA Shield-1 Nano, 4SEASONS, SUPER MATEX, the Expert series (Shield, Pro, Flex), and TOA 7in1.
