After penning nine cookbooks and opening three bakeries in Paris, he furthered his ambition by opening more bakeries abroad in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Australia. As of July 2018, this dashing 41-year-old pastry chef has 51 bakeries in six countries with his name attached to them. His first Thai branch named Gontran Cherrier Thailand opened in January and I stopped by mainly for their new dishes.
