Bangladesh's youth uprising has Arab Spring echoes

» In recent weeks, the Bangladeshi government has cracked down violently on students demanding equitable access to coveted government jobs amid an unemployment crisis. To contain the protests, authorities have shut down all educational institutions, imposed a strict curfew, and cut off internet access. Thousands of police officers and paramilitaries have been patrolling the streets, and more than 170 people have died.

The event features cultural performances from Thailand and 12 countries under the concept “Long-Standing Relations.” Additionally, a majestic floral exhibit by internationally-renowned florist Sakul Inthakul is on display at The Jewel, M Floor, throughout July 2024, supported by Siam Commercial Bank PCL and Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd.

KMITL Partners with Taiwanese Universities on Semiconductor Curriculum

» On July 19-20, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Komson Maleesee, President of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), along with Associate Professor Dr. Somyot Kiatiwanitchvilai, Dean of the School of Engineering, met with executives and researchers from Chang Gung University (CGU) and Ming Chi University of Technology. The purpose was to conduct research at CGU and establish academic cooperation with Taiwanese universities, aiming to position KMITL as a centre for reskilling and upskilling in Smart Electronics.

Transport Minister Leads Blood Donation Drive Honouring King

This involves offering royal blessings, pledging to be exemplary civil servants, and uniting in a blood donation goal of 2 million CCs for His Majesty. Moreover, 172 scholarships will be awarded to students in schools around Bangkok Port to enhance educational opportunities and morale, fundamental to societal and national development.
