I sincerely thank Khun Yingwai Suchaovanich and Khun Felix Qui for their thoughtful comments on our application of our lese majeste law, aka S112. This law demands our thorough scrutiny before being used, for as our beloved late national father told us, "(its) use ultimately damages the monarchy".

» Re: "Cops still buying top positions", (BP, Feb 28). It's admirable that police chief Pol Gen Suwat Jangyodsuk wants to reform the RTP. But for changes that will last beyond his retirement in two years he must change the entire RTP culture -- not just issue orders.
