» It seems to me that Thai Immigration has got itself into an awful mess because it refuses to acknowledge a few simple truths. According to Merriam-Webster an immigrant is "a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence". Since 1991 I have had only one home, a wife, a child and a house, all in Thailand and I have in effect been a resident since that time.
