First, the convict Thaksin Shinawatra does remain influential: he powerfully taints every figure and institution that recklessly associates itself with him; that is a potent influence.

» According to the latest UN report on rising sea levels, Bangkok is one of the cities that will be experiencing yearly floods 30 years from now.
