» The hotel founding family's fingerprints are all over the Aman Nai Lert Bangkok. Quite literally. But it's done so in the most magnificent and tasteful way possible. Before arriving at their suites, guests must pass a double-floored atrium, fitted with a stillwater black pool and white boulder oasis that ticks all the boxes of a Zen rock and sand garden. Towering over this peaceful cocoon are discreet but impressive plaster panels textured with curving stripes. These are not sand dune lines, but Thanphuying Lursakdi Sampatisiri's enlarged fingerprints -- a tribute to the hotel founder's grandmother and forward-thinking matriarch that has shaped Bangkok's Nai Lert Park today.

» Women (and some men too, to be honest) go hysterical for Hermès' Birkin bag. There is no denying that the French maison's handbag is one of the most globally recognised icons and coveted items, but mention of their furniture line may draw a few blank looks or two. There are no shortages of accessory or fashion houses that also cover interior living grounds, be it American classic authority Ralph Lauren Home or the Italian peacock that is Versace Home. But what exactly is the Hermès aesthetic and what is so enticing about it? How does it encapsulate its high-end luxuriance when their art direction seems to be less is more?

» Not all of us will make our mark as Mona Lisa, but it is possible to be the centre star of an art piece. If you are a self-confessed shutterbug and lover of art, an interactive art exhibition is currently ongoing at Emporium right now under the name Museum of Me (MOME). Inside the pink pastel box, which has just popped up inside their department store, this museum's showcase will not be complete without its main exhibition: you. Get snapped upon entering MOME and get ready to see yourself turned into art works by 10 different artists. The summer museum visit all ends at the museum gift shop, which of course, sells mementos that star you.
