» On the occasion of the birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Rosconcert, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Thailand and B.Grimm presented a wonderfully inspiring evening of all-Russian music at the Thailand Cultural Centre to begin its 2025 season in style. Also in attendance for this diplomatically significant occasion was Evgeny Tomikhin, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Thailand.

» A highly energised Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra rounded off a hugely successful 2023 concert season mid-December with a cleverly conceived and designed programme titled "Orient Et Occident", with each performance alternating between compositions by Western and Eastern composers. By now, frequent visiting English conductor Douglas Bostock certainly knows how to inspire this orchestra to the very best of its abilities, and the opening La Princesse Jaune Overture by Camille Saint-Saëns was duly performed with a delightfully assured élan. The utterly charming faux-exoticism which the composer conjures was played with innocent, abundant joy, whilst a central lush string section showed off those particular ranks in an extremely positive light.

» The visit of a genuine classical virtuoso to the Thailand Cultural Centre is guaranteed to tempt a larger than usual audience, and indeed it was most refreshing to witness an almost packed auditorium towards the end of August for the latest concert by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, supported by B.Grimm Group.

» Four highly distinguished musicians from the capital city of the Republic of Kosovo, Pristina, proudly joined forces with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra late last month for the "Thai-Kosovo Friendship Concert" at the Thailand Cultural Centre, in celebration of the momentous 10th anniversary of a fruitful bilateral agreement between the two countries.

» To celebrate the auspicious occasion of King Vajiralongkorn's 70th birthday on July 28, a fantastic, brand new Concerto For Alto Saxophone And Orchestra was commissioned and performed by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) at the Thailand Cultural Centre on July 22. Composed by Thailand's foremost classical composer Prof Narongrit Dhamabutra, the soloist was a musician of truly worldwide stature, the Greek virtuoso Theodore Kerkezos.
