» Winter is coming. In fact, the Thai winter has already breezed its way into Bangkok, with cool mornings and breezy nights. When Mother Nature gives us these signals, we, living in the concrete jungle, shouldn't ignore them. In fact, gear up for the next mini vacay to cooler lands within the Kingdom, as parks, farms and beyond are all blowing in the wind!

» Last weekend, eager Bangkokians finally got a chance to wander through the massively enchanting Iconsiam retail and entertainment centre. Co-developed between Siam Piwat, Magnolia Quality Development Corporation and Charoen Pokphand Group, Iconsiam is the biggest retail complex in Thailand, featuring majestic architecture and global stores with luxury brands to provide a shopping experience unlike any other (minus the heavy traffic that comes with it).

Wet 'n' Wild!

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 13/04/2018

» Today is the first day of Songkran and we know what you're thinking: "Where should I celebrate the Thai New Year for some fun-soaked festivities?". There are tonnes of places where you can spray water and dab some scented powder on to others, or if staying dry is your thing, there are events dedicated to that, too. Songkran doesn't have to be just attending the countless EDM parties during these busy days (you can check a handful of them in the parties section of listings), these events are can be enjoyed by just about anybody. So grab your water guns and don some waterproof clothes (or why not don some traditional Thai outfits as that's what's all the rage this year), wannee pen wan Songkran!

Concert peeps

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 16/02/2018

» Concerts are awesome. Here at Guru, we have been to a fair amount of live shows of our favourite artists and bands, despite the ridiculously expensive tickets. And with every concert we attend, we see and meet the same kind of people. From the fans that seem to know the lyrics of every song to the ones who just can't seem to put their phones down as they record every moment of the show. We took the time to list our favourite (or for some, least favourite) types of concertgoers in Thailand. All in good fun.
