» The malls are crowded again. The streets are lined with traffic. There seems to be more people (and motorcycles) on the sidewalk. Your eyes do not deceive you: the City of Angels has come back to life -- or at least slightly. Certain venues like fitness centres and theatres remain closed (sorry, Marvel fans hoping to watch Shang-Chi) but the city's ever-favoured shopping malls have returned and dining-in at restaurants is possible again, albeit in limited capacity. Does this bode well for Bangkokians? Should we expect the worst? Despite the relief we feel of finally being let out of our houses, are there still challenges? Guru speaks to people of different professions to gauge their opinions.

» Buying a phone on a budget usually means having to set your expectations low. After all, you can't expect to get the same features as the latest high-end release on a mid-tier phone. Though the new Samsung Galaxy A52 doesn't match the superior quality of its S Series siblings, which is a given, it still gives you more value for your buck than you would imagine.

» A simple Google search of wellness programmes or retreats will have you bombarded with countless results. It's not at all difficult to book wellness treatments around Bangkok or in the provinces if you feel like doing a healthy getaway. But the numerous options out there can be overwhelming, and unless you take the time to also research what these treatments are, you might end up signing for something that will make you feel worse rather than better. Kamalaya, however, will do all the heavy lifting for you: they'll tailor a programme based on your goals and needs so you get treatments that actually help you. On top of that, it doesn't hurt that it's located on the beautiful island of Koh Samui.

» Sennheiser is known for delivering high-quality audio products, so upon the release of its latest bluetooth earphones, the Sennheiser CX400 BT True Wireless, I had pretty high expectations. While it does deliver superbly on some fronts, I experienced a major drawback that disappointed me.

» If there was a pill that granted you powers for five minutes, would you take it? What would you do with the power? Will you use it for the good of others or for your own gain? These are some of the questions asked in Netflix's new film Project Power. These "power" pills run rampant on the street of New Orleans which causes a teenage dealer, a cop and an ex-soldier on a personal mission to cross paths. Guru spoke to Jamie Foxx and Dominique Fishback to talk about the film and what would they do if given the chance to have superpowers.

» If you're like me and want nothing more than to keep to yourself and mind your own business, you know that earphones are a godsend. And if you love music then you're probably particular with the earphones you buy because it affects the quality of music. German audio company Sennheiser has recently released their new wireless earphones, the Momentum True Wireless 2, which they have touted as "the ideal choice for the discerning listener". Given Sennheiser's well-established reputation, my expectations were pretty high when I got my hands on them.

» RPG lootshooters have been a staple of gaming for the past few years now. Despite being common, some games are a hit and miss. One of the few games that have constantly hit the mark, however, is Borderlands and with the third entry in the franchise, everyone is anxious to see whether this game will exceed expectations. » Messy hair, baggy shirts and a 90s vibe all around, Daniel Didyasarin seems like your typical half-Thai, half-American schoolboy with vintage tendencies. You might pass him on the sidewalk without a second thought, but this fresh-faced young man is a promising artist on the rise in Thailand's music scene. Daniel is a member of the bands Penny Time and City Plant, but since those two bands are currently on a break (hopefully not the Ross and Rachel kind), he's kept busy and released his first solo album Bedroom, not to mention a couple of EPs and singles, as well. You get the chance to hear him live on Sept 22 at Siri House. Guru sat down and talked to the burgeoning young artist.

» It's always a challenge to be in a new country because things may be done differently from where you come from. There are a few things you may think are universally accepted only to have your thinking completely blown into smithereens once you're in a new country. It's pretty much the same with living in Thailand.
