A bloody Irish jaunt

Guru, Eric E Surbano, Published on 28/05/2021

» You would think that a game as massive as Assassin's Creed Valhalla wouldn't need an expansion and yet here's Wrath Of The Druids, which was released earlier this month. Tagged by Ubisoft as only the first major expansion in an unknown number to come, the add-on gives the already hefty game even more stories, mysteries and locations to discover and explore. But is more necessarily better?

» This year has been a total crapfest. We've gone through a soft lockdown and we're past it, but the pandemic continues and things are far from normal. Then there is the current state of affairs, which just piles on to the mounting stress. It's been a rough year and I can't help but remember that we all felt the same optimism when we wanted 2019 to end. Modern love

Well, it's not exactly a challenge since we're telling you what you can do, but if you want a different Valentine's Day experience then we've got you covered. (PS If you're not the risk-taker we think you are, turn a few pages to see our picks of where to eat on this day of love).

» We are smack in the middle of the World Cup, and unlike Americans who use phrases like "World Series" or "World Champions" despite having only American participants, the majority of the world is actually involved in this tournament. There's only about two weeks left, but there are a lot of matches to watch and a whole lot of World Cup to keep you going. Fortunately, Bangkok is high on the World Cup fever, and we've got a number of places you can visit to keep that high.

Adrenaline boosters

» Bangkok can be a paradoxical city. Everyone pretty much takes it easy and everything is sabai sabai and though that's mostly a good thing, there are times you want some excitement. On the other hand, sometimes you walk out of the office after a gruelling day only to be met by the headache-inducing commute of a crowded train or heavy traffic. So how do you get your dose of excitement and at the same time let off some steam? Perhaps you go to the gym. Perhaps you and your friends gather for one or two friendly matches of football. Perhaps going to the bar for drinks is exciting and de-stressing enough for you. But this week, we've compiled a list of places and things you can do that are a little out of the norm. Time to get your blood pumping.
