» For nostalgia lovers, this hidden gem in a quiet residential area of Dusit district is a delightful find. Built in 1932, it was the home of Lt Gen Phra Silapasatrakhom, former chief of the Royal Thai Aide-De-Camp Department. The well-preserved two-storied wooden house, which has only four rooms for guests, is like a hideaway that could only be reached by a time machine.

» Apart from giving rise to keyboard warriors and other nuisances, the digital age also has a good side. One thing I love most about today's world is that it has given me easy access to tons of photographs from the distant past. And that, at least to me, is almost like time travel.
