» Each day countless numbers of Bangkokians commute past Wat Pathum Wanaram, the royal temple sandwiched between Siam Paragon and CentralWorld. Every day, they see it from the windows of their cars, buses or Skytrains. Few, however, actually step into the temple to learn more about it.

» If Covid-19 had not struck the planet, we would be enjoying humanity's most celebrated sporting event by now -- the Summer Olympics. This year's Olympics has been postponed and rescheduled to take place between July 23 and Aug 8 next year, leading many to now refer to it as Tokyo 2020+1. Anyway, thinking about the Olympics takes my thoughts back to Atlanta 1996.

» From March 16-17, the World Wai Kru Muay Thai ceremony will be performed at the Ayutthaya Historical Park in Ayutthaya province. The 15th annual festival is aimed at showcasing Thai martial arts and paying respects to Nai Khanomtom, a famous Thai boxer during the Ayutthaya period. Nai Khanomtom Day falls on March 17.
