» Remember that Netflix documentary last year called The Program: Cons, Cults, And Kidnapping? It exposed the horrors young people endure through parent-sanctioned abductions to so-called academies designed to "fix" wayward kids. That documentary left many of us shaken with its raw look into an industry that preys on fear and promises false solutions.

However, when I heard they were making a sequel to what was supposed to be a standalone film, I had a bad feeling. Now that I've seen Joker: Folie À Deux, I can't say my opinion has changed.

» When it comes to true crime documentaries where narratives often tread familiar ground, once in a while there are ones that just hit differently. While most crime stories that involve love triangles and jealousy are hardly interesting, the latest entry Lover, Stalker, Killer is far from mundane and is instead a chilling exploration of a crime so bizarre, it feels plucked from the annals of fiction.
