Ingenue to archetype, The Queen's Gambit has all the right moves

That's not the case in The Queen's Gambit, a new Netflix original series about a young female chess prodigy, who's determined to break into this male-dominated world of competitive chess during the 50s and 60s. This compact seven-episode limited series is exceptionally fresh, elegant and captivating.
